The Icefields Parkway winds 232 kilometres trough the heart of the Jasper and Banff national parks. It’s been called one of the world’s most scenic drives. From waterfalls, pristine lakes, broad sweeping valleys, ancient glaciers, and timber as far as the eye can see.
Hiring a car to experience what we were exposed to today, it truely was absolutely bewildering.
As was the re-tracing of the road biked for approximately 60 kms before the turn right. It’s a whole different butt feeling from the comfort of a car seat! Getting used to driving on the opposite side of the road sitting in the opposite side of the car was okay, only turned on the wipers 47 times when wanting to indicate turning!
The reverse drive tomorrow to our tandem who will be missing us.
Thank you to those folk who inspired us to take the tiki tour over the hinterland.
